It Started with KCET

Like many engineering aspirants in Karnataka, my college journey started with the KCET exam and counselling.

After getting my rank of around 21,000, I prepared a list of about 12 colleges based on my preferences. I was hoping to get into a college where I could see myself spending the next four years.

The Mock Round

When the mock allotment results came out, I got Jain College in Belagavi.

Honestly, I felt disappointed. I had different expectations, and seeing that allotment wasn't what I had hoped for.

But counselling wasn't over yet.

Getting KLEIT

In the first round, I got KLE Institute of Technology.

I visited the college before making up my mind. Looking around the campus, I felt good about it. At that moment, I could imagine myself studying there, and things seemed promising.

I thought I had found a place where I could begin the next chapter of my life.

Expectations vs Reality

But the experience of visiting a college and actually studying there are two different things.

After joining, I started seeing things differently. The reality wasn't exactly what I had imagined during that first visit.

Looking back, that first impression was only the beginning of my college story.

Looking Back

Getting into college was one milestone. What followed was a different journey, with experiences I couldn't have understood just by visiting the campus.

And that's how I ended up at KLEIT.
